(Hopefully a few prayers were said for Darby!)

We wish Fr. Connor all the best for his year ahead in the U.S.

and look forward to hearing tales of his adventures.

Darby's Golf Society - Captain's Day Outing

Darby's Golf Society enjoyed playing with their balls in the sun, last Sat 22nd August; when they went to Dundrum Golf Course in Tipperary.

Congratulations to Leo Casey who won on the day.

Judging by the state of Darby on Sunday, the lads also had a great night in the bar;

singing until the early hours!

I was waiting at a customer services station at Asda when a woman in front of me was returning a disposable barbeque. When asked why she was returning the barbeque, she replied,

"There was no meat in it!"
The shop assistant patiently explained that the disposable barbeque was simply to cook the meat and it did not include any food. Whereupon, the customer looked very embarrassed indeed.
The assistant checked the receipt and asked: "There are 3 barbeques on here, are you returning the other two as well?"
"I can't, said the woman, "they are at home in the freezer."
