Now that all the photos of our trip to portugal have been developed, this snap has come to our attention.Is it a bird?Is it a plane? No its Pat 'michael flatley' Gill. Fresh from the tables of the Irish Cabin, rumours are circulating that the producers of the hit 'RIVER DANCE'are looking at this dancing queen as the next MICHAEL FLATLEY.Was it his red complexion,his stylish headgear,his hair(singular) flowing on his forehead or the sly grin on his 'jackeen' face.Whatever it was we as a society will never know.Will the sale of baby oil rocket to the moon when 'RIVER DANCE IO' hits the stage next year.Remember to bring your grandmother to the official viewing in DARBY O'GILLS. the darby o gills golfing society bi annual foreign trip occured last week and the general concensus was that it was a major success. all the arrangements were excellent and many thanks to our captain christy lehane. Pat Gill our el presidente was in his usually quiet form but was believe to have broken out on the odd occasion and has enforced a strict "no dancing on tables " regime since his return (strange !)the highlight of the wek was pat gill taking 20 euro off gene croinn (some say he had since his communion) for scoring 78 points over the 4 days. it does not pay to show no respect to the president. overall though mr croinn and the president got on "very" well and were seen in many late night spots together!!! the golf course of vila sol/ pinhal/ laguna/ and millenimun were excellent and were enjoyed by all members. our late nite rendevous the "cabin " was a great spot and the band playing there nightly were unreal. A special mention for "natasha" our beautiful ukrainian bar maid. she was offered "honouary" membership of our society by the lads! we hope to go to "Myrtle Beach" in 2 yrs time get saving now. for now good bye and god bless abrigado!

there are 21+'1' golfers going to portugal with darby o' gills golf society. if pat gill calls himself a golfer then i think the '21 golfers' should retire. pat should get lessons straight away. get a dress with that handicap.

Darbys golfers Head to Portugal.
14th of october is the big day for our trip to portugal. We have 4 days golf and a couple of days rest in bewtween to relax and unwind. there will be the usual team competitions and at the moment the moneyis on CK Tiger Moyninhan Pat Gill to lift the Trophy!!!. New t-Shirts are available Friday night @darbys for the trip. Many Thanks to Christy Lehane and all his Commitee including the "Les Miserables "Gene Croinn for all the hard work they have put into the trip

I'll soon be telling you about our Christmas party nights, (lots of booze, good food, live music, and dancing all night!) ; the craic will be mighty!

We'll also be doing a rather posh (-ish) Gala dinner for New Years Eve, an excuse to get out your glad rags, sip Champagne and kiss as many good looking people as you can when the clock strikes 12.

If you've stayed with us in the past, it would be lovely to hear from you.

If you're thinking of visiting Killarney (a beautiful place!) and would like any info or advice, I'll give you my biased opinion :-)
