The vilmoura boys and girls return home safe and sound.
the darby o gills golfing society bi annual foreign trip occured last week and the general concensus was that it was a major success. all the arrangements were excellent and many thanks to our captain christy lehane. Pat Gill our el presidente was in his usually quiet form but was believe to have broken out on the odd occasion and has enforced a strict "no dancing on tables " regime since his return (strange !)the highlight of the wek was pat gill taking 20 euro off gene croinn (some say he had since his communion) for scoring 78 points over the 4 days. it does not pay to show no respect to the president. overall though mr croinn and the president got on "very" well and were seen in many late night spots together!!! the golf course of vila sol/ pinhal/ laguna/ and millenimun were excellent and were enjoyed by all members. our late nite rendevous the "cabin " was a great spot and the band playing there nightly were unreal. A special mention for "natasha" our beautiful ukrainian bar maid. she was offered "honouary" membership of our society by the lads! we hope to go to "Myrtle Beach" in 2 yrs time get saving now. for now good bye and god bless abrigado!

AFTER A RECENT VISIT TO THE TREASURERS CELEBRIOUS ALPINE VILLA IN KILCUMMIN THE PRESIDENT WAS QUIET SHOCKED BY THE THE CONDOITION OF THE ENTRANCE AND GENERAL PARKING AREA IN FRONT OF SAID VILLA . WHEN ASKED , THE TREASURER SAID HE WAS IN FAVOUR OF THE "NATURAL" LOOK !! I THINK THAT NATURE HAS GOT A LITTLE OUT OF CONTROL AND AFTER CONSULTING WITH CLOSE FRIEBD OF TREASURER AND MUCH MOANING ABOUT HIGH HEELS ETC ETC , IT WAS AGREED THAT A FUND TO SUBSIDISE THE SURFACING OF FRONT OF VILLA SHOULD COMMENCE. A QOUTATION FROM A WELL KNOWN TARMAC CONTRACTOR ON THE PARK RD IS ALSO BEEN SOUGHT! I WOULD ASK ALL MEMBERS OF DARBYS GOLF SOCIETY AND THEIR FRIENDS TO CONTRIBUTE TO THIS WORTHY CAUSE. ALL DONATIONS CAN BE SENT TO DARBY O GILLS MARKETING DEPARTMENT WHERE IAM SURE IT WILL BE PUT TO GOOD USE IN FINALLY FINISHING OFF THIS FINE VILLA IN THE HILLS OF KILCUMMIN.
