Fun Day in aid of The Motor Neuron Assoc.

 Sunday 24th June 2012

at Darby O' Gill's Hotel, Lissivigeen, Killarney

Sponsored cycle around the 'Lissivigeen Loop' on 'High Nelly' bikes
dressed in period costume from the early 1960's.

The crowds came out on this fine summers day
to support a good cause and enjoy the activities.
Cars lined both sides of the Mallow Rd

Information and advice about the condition: Motor Neuron Disease
was freely available from the IMNDA stand.
The IMNDA were delighted with this fundraising event
as money is desperately needed to help sufferers of the condition
and fund on-going research.

Country Bands entertained the families.
Locals were jiving and waltzing in the summer sun.
The Kerry colours were flying!

Bouncy Castles provided by Mike O' Donoghue
entertained the kids for hours!

Women chatting over a warm cup of tea and homemade cakes
Yum!

Any designer bags this year?

One of the High Nelly bikes used in the sponsored cycle

Thankfully the large marquee was used by people
to shelter from the sun instead of the rain!
Organisers were blessed with great weather for the 2nd yr running.

Is there an age restriction on the bouncy castles?

Great 'Tug of War' competition between local clubs Glenflesk & Spa
The Glenflesk lads were victorious!

Competitors had to throw a horseshoe around the pole.
Well done to winner: Johnny Brosnan from Barraduff
Thanks to all the organisers and those who supported the cause!
